'Considering the circumstances ... this is best-case scenario,' Cole Cusitar said.
Regina police say officers had to taser a man Friday night following a traffic stop in the Normanview area.
At 8:40 p.m. police conducted a traffic stop on the 6400 block of 7th Avenue North.
During the investigation, officers discovered the driver could be arrested for a criminal offence, according to a media release.
When officers informed the driver about the arrest, for an offence they did not disclose in the release, he resisted and tried to flee the scene.
Due to what police call an immediate need for control, due to a high risk of death or serious bodily harm a taser was used.
Paramedics assessed the man before he was transported to Regina police cells.
