Saskatoon firefighters helped contain a fire at GFL Environmental in the RM of Corman Park Sunday afternoon.The original 911 call for what was believed to be a garbage fire at the facility on Cory Road came in at 2:55 p.m.Employees told crews the fire was in a hydrocarbon disposal area.Firefighters connected to the on-site hydrant and their onboard water supplies douse the flames shooting from the area.It’s not immediately clear why the material used to absorb the hydrocarbons ignited, the Saskatoon Fire Department said in a media release.There was no elevated concern linked to the hazardous materials and no one was hurt.
