A man is facing 35 charges after multiple incidents in Regina over the weekend.
The first occurred around 2:50 a.m. Saturday when police were dispatched to a business on the 4100 block of Fifth Avenue.
The two reported victims, a man and a woman, say a man approached them, pointed a gun at them before shooting at the rear tire of a vehicle and once in the air. The victims also say the man took a cellphone from inside the car.
Police attempts to find the suspect were unsuccessful at the time.
On Sunday around 12:40 a.m., police were dispatched to the area of 11th Avenue and Rose Street for a report of a man with a shotgun. The man allegedly entered the vehicle of a woman he knew, threatened her and another man inside the vehicle, before fleeing in a cab.
Police said they identified the man as the same person from the gun incident from Saturday. A canine unit found a shotgun in an alley off the 1800 block of Osler Street which is believed to have been used in the incidents.
Around 7:30 a.m., police established a perimeter around a home on the 2200 block of Osler Street and made numerous attempts to hail the occupants inside. By 10:30 a.m., multiple resources including canine, crisis negotiators and SWAT were in place. Just over an hour later, a man and woman came out of the house and were taken into custody.
The woman was released without charges.
The 32-year-old man appeared in court Monday morning.
