A 37-year-old man is facing charges after he allegedly threatened to shoot his family at a home near Tisdale on Wednesday.
In a media release, the RCMP said a call was received at about 1 p.m., about an individual who was heading to a home in the Tisdale area with the intention of shooting his family.
Officers from Tisdale, Hudson Bay and Melfort as well as Prince Albert’s RCMP Police Dog Services converged on the area and secured the family members. Officers then located the suspect and arrested him without incident.
The man was charged with three counts of assault with a weapon, two counts each of uttering threats and dangerous driving, and one count each of unauthorized possession of a firearm and unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon.
He’s to appear in Melfort Provincial Court on Thursday.
