Three Regina residents are facing charges after a drug investigation that stretched from Winnipeg to Vancouver.
According to the Regina Police Service, a 25-year-old man, a 24-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman were arrested after the interprovincial investigation.
Multiple police forces, including the Regina Police Service, the Winnipeg Police Service, the Calgary Police Service, the Vancouver Police Department and the Surrey RCMP, were involved in the investigation.
On June 18, search warrants were executed in Regina at homes in the 3200 block of East Woodhams Drive and in the 900 block of Wadey Drive. Three vehicles and a storage locker in east Regina also were searched.
Police found money, substances believed to be cocaine, methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA) and psilocybin, drug paraphernalia, and brass knuckles.
Charges against the three people include possession of a scheduled substance for the purposes of trafficking (MDMA), possession of a scheduled substance for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine), possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000, and unauthorized possession of a weapon.
