An assault that sent a man to hospital with serious injuries Friday has resulted in charges against a 40-year-old Regina man.
The Regina Police Service says officers were dispatched at around 11:10 p.m., to the parking lot of a business in the 1800 block of Albert Street for a report of an injured person. On the scene, officers found a man who had been assaulted and robbed.
Information provided to the police sent them to the 2100 block of Albert Street, where they located and arrested a 40-year-old man who was carrying knives when he was arrested.
The man is charged with aggravated assault, robbery, carrying a concealed weapon and failing to comply with a probation order.
He made his first court appearance Monday.
