Saskatoon’s Remai Modern is preparing to reopen.
In a release Monday, the museum of modern and contemporary art says they plan to reopen to its members on Aug. 6. On Aug. 13, Remai Modern will reopen to the public.
“A museum isn’t a museum without its visitors. We’ve been encouraged by the support of our members during this challenging period,” said Lynn McMaster, Remai Modern’s Interim Executive Director & CEO.
“The wellbeing of our guests and staff is our first priority so we will share a number of measures in the coming weeks that we are taking to ensure everyone has a healthy, safe and inspiring experience when they come back to Remai Modern.”
The release says visitors to the museum are encouraged to wear a face mask and practise social distancing.
Visitors are also being encouraged to purchase admission tickets in advance to limit contact during their visit.
It also says the frequency of cleaning has been increased throughout the building, especially in high traffic areas.
