Regina police have arrested 30-year-old Frederick James Norman Brass.
In a media release, police said Brass became erratic on Thursday evening when he discovered he was the subject of a Saskatchewan-wide warrant through the Moose Jaw Police Service.
The Moose Jaw warrant is for aggravated assault and unlawful confinement and issued under the name Frederick “Freddie” Hafner.
After seeing the warrant, Regina police say Brass assaulted, threatened and forcibly confined a 28-year-old woman inside a vehicle they had been driving in.
She was able to run from the vehicle and to a gas station on the 3600 block of Sherwood Drive for help at 5:36 p.m.
Police met the woman on the 6700 block of Dagliesh Drive at 7:20 p.m.
She suffered non-life-threatening injuries and didn’t require immediate medical attention, according to police.
Brass has been charged with robbery, forcible confinement and assault with a weapon. His first court appearance is on Monday.
