A condominium tower that was to be built near the top of the Broadway Bridge has been put on hold, according to the developers.
The plans for the Highpoint condo project also included office and retail space.
On the Highpoint website, the developers, Urban Capital and Victory Majors, issued a notice saying they are going “back to the drawing board.”
The notice said while the group had a great launch in September, selling close to 40 of the 113 residential units, the current economic uncertainty surrounding the COVID pandemic has made further pre-sales more difficult. But more significantly, it has called into question the significant office and retail components of the project.
The developers go on to say: “We’re planning on making some changes to the development and expect to be back next year with a revised offering shorn of its office component and some of its retail space.”
The original plans for the Highpoint project had it located at 604 Broadway Ave.
