The City of Regina has some instructions for those want to vote by mail in the upcoming municipal election.
To apply for a mail-in ballot:
- Download, complete and sign the Voter Registration Form from the city’s website.
- Have the form and your identification witnessed by an eligible person. A witness can include an eligible voter who lives at the same address as the applicant. The full list can be found here.
- Mail, email or fax the application along with a copy of photo I.D. to Elections Regina.
If all the criteria are met, a ballot will be sent with instructions on how to vote.
If not, applicants might be asked to re-apply in person.
Applications will be taken until Nov. 9.
Mail-in ballots will be sent between mid and late October and must be received at the Election Office by 8 p.m. on Election Day.
