A person in their 90s from Saskatchewan’s south region is being listed as the province’s 18th death from COVID-19.
The provincial government announced the death Thursday, along with 38 new cases and 55 recoveries.
Of the new cases, 23 are from multiple communal living situations across Saskatchewan.
The release notes 14 people are in hospital with COVID-19, including five in intensive care – three in Saskatoon and two in Regina.
Thursday’s cases include 14 in the central region, 12 in the north, six in the south, five in Saskatoon and one in the far north.
The provincial government said 1,682 COVID-19 tests were conducted on Wednesday across Saskatchewan.
Overall the province has tallied 1,306 cases of COVID-19, with a total of 984 recoveries.
There are 304 active cases of the virus in Saskatchewan.
