The Regina Police Service is asking for the public’s help as it investigates a robbery that occurred Tuesday on Albert Street South.
Just after 4 p.m., officers responded to a report of a weapons offence at a business in the 3800 block of Albert. Staff members said a man with a large knife was threatening customers and staff.
The suspect was said to be wearing a black shirt and a black baseball hat and carrying a black backpack.
When police arrived, they were told the man had left the business and had ridden away on a bicycle. Officers searched the area but didn’t find the man.
Police learned the suspect had been arguing with a staff member before taking a knife that was part of the store’s merchandise and then stealing other items. He also tried to get into the store’s cash registers.
No one was injured during the incident.
