A 49-year-old man is facing a charge of impaired driving causing bodily harm after a four-vehicle crash in Regina on Tuesday morning.
Just before 8 a.m., police were dispatched to the corner of Broad Street and Saskatchewan Drive.
The police investigation revealed a GMC Acadia, being driven by the charged Grenfell man, was northbound on Broad Street when it rear-ended a Honda CR-V and then struck a Ford van.
The CR-V was pushed forward into a Mitsubishi Lancer. A 19-year-old woman who was a passenger in the Honda was taken to hospital by EMS.
EMS and firefighters removed the driver from the GMC and police said there was evidence indicating drug use.
The driver was given first aid and then transported to hospital for assessment.
Police did not say what type of drugs were involved.
He appeared in court Wednesday morning.
