One of the suspects in two recent robberies — including one in Theodore — is in police custody.
On Friday, the Yorkton RCMP said it had arrested a 19-year-old Yorkton man in connection with robberies Tuesday in Theodore and Saltcoats.
The man was charged with two counts each of committing an offence for a criminal organization, robbery, wearing a disguise with intent to commit an offence, careless use of a firearm, possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a firearm without a licence and unauthorized possession of a firearm/prohibited weapon/restricted weapon.
He also faces one charge of assault with a weapon.
The Mounties are still looking for other suspects as well as a 2004 to 2008 Toyota Corolla, either brown or grey in colour. The car is missing some hubcaps, and has a white sticker in the upper left corner of the rear window.
Members of the public are advised not to approach or attempt any form of contact with people in the car if it’s located.
Anyone with information about the incidents or the car’s whereabouts is asked to call 310-RCMP or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
