A 23-year-old Regina man is facing a total of 20 charges in connection with a string of break-ins and thefts around the city.
The incidents, ranging from break-ins to vehicles to the theft of cash and bicycles, occurred between June 30 and Thursday of this week.
The Regina Police Service said its investigation into the offences led to the identification of a suspect and warrants were issued for his arrest.
On Thursday at about 9:15 p.m., an officer saw the man riding a bike near an apartment building in the 3600 block of East Haughton Road. Other officers were called and, when the man came out of the building’s parkade, he was arrested.
When officers searched the man, they found break-and-enter tools in his backpack.
He faces eight counts of break and enter and commit theft, seven counts of breach of probation, two counts of break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence, and one count each of attempted break and enter, theft under $5,000 and possession of break-and-enter tools.
He was to make his first court appearance Friday.
