Regina police have arrested a 25-year-old man for attempted murder and mischief.
The investigation started Monday with a report of stolen vehicle.
According to police, a woman gave a ride to a male acquaintance. Once she stopped and got out of the car, the man drove off.
Police determined the suspect was somebody already wanted on outstanding warrants, including one for attempted murder related to a stabbing two weeks ago in the 2900 block of First Avenue.
During that incident on Aug. 14, a 23-year-old man suffered serious injuries which police said were “believed to have been caused by a bladed weapon.”
On Thursday, police arrested the suspect with the help of a canine team.
