A 35-year-old man was taken to hospital after a shooting on the Onion Lake First Nation on Saturday.
The RCMP said officers were dispatched to the community following a report of a man who had been shot near a business on the east end of the First Nation.
Officers found the man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to Lloydminster for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Police were told the suspects had fled the scene in a silver four-door car. It was found later, engulfed in flames, near Maidstone.
The RCMP doesn’t know how many people were involved in the incident or to where they were travelling.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the RCMP or Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.
