A Regina woman pleaded guilty Tuesday to a charge of reckless driving in connection with a car-pedestrian collision in February that injured a 93-year-old woman.
Jessica Michelle Weber was fined $2,000 with a $600 surcharge after her guilty plea in Regina Provincial Court.
The collision occurred on the afternoon of Feb. 28 at the intersection of College Avenue and Elphinstone Street.
According to the Regina Police Service, the victim was walking eastbound across Elphinstone when she was hit by a car that was travelling west on College. The car didn’t stop after the collision and turned south on Elphinstone.
The victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigation eventually led to Weber’s arrest.
