One man is dead and two others are in hospital with serious injuries after a two-vehicle collision Tuesday south of Kincaid.
The RCMP said officers from the Ponteix and Gravelbourg detachments responded just after 1 p.m., to a report of a crash about 10 kilometres south of Kincaid on Highway 19.
Police were told a minivan with two occupants that was travelling south on the highway and a truck carrying two people that was heading west on a grid road collided at an intersection.
A 51-year-old man who was in the truck was pronounced dead at the scene. The truck’s second occupant, a 33-year-old man, was taken to hospital in Regina with life-threatening injuries.
A 55-year-old man who was in the minivan was transported to hospital in Saskatoon with serious injuries. The other person in the van, a 20-year-old woman, was treated at the scene by paramedics for minor injuries.
The highway was closed in both directions for about five hours before reopening in the evening.
The investigation into the crash is continuing.
Kincaid is about 160 kilometres southwest of Moose Jaw.
