The City of Regina is to reopen the Fieldhouse next Monday.
The facility has been closed since late March due to COVID-19 restrictions.
While the building was closed, the city took the opportunity to make improvements, including the installation of new LED lighting, new curtains to divide the program areas and an upgraded sound system. As well, the track was restored and its lines were repainted.
The city is requiring everyone to register for programs to make sure the maximum number of residents are inside, to keep lineups outside the facility short and to allow for enhanced cleaning.
Registration opens Friday online or by calling the PlayLine at 306-777-7529. Court rentals are limited to one hour per day per client and access to some activities may be limited.
Customers are being be asked to answer the health-related questions posted on the facility’s doors, to sanitize their hands, to come dressed and ready for action five minutes before the start time of their activity, to leave immediately after their activity ends, to pay without using cash if possible, and to maintain physical distancing of two metres inside the facility.
