A hit-and-run collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian has resulted in charges against a 20-year-old Regina man.
According to a media release from the Regina Police Service, the incident happened Friday at about 9:45 p.m., at McCarthy Boulevard and Ninth Avenue North.
Officers were told a pedestrian had been hit by a vehicle, which drove away from the scene. Police say the pedestrian didn’t require treatment for their injuries.
The release said prior to the hit-and-run, a vehicle matching the description of the one involved in the collision had been seen driving erratically in a nearby parking lot. Police subsequently found the vehicle and the driver was arrested.
He faces charges of operating a conveyance dangerous to the public and failure to stop after an accident. He’s to make his first court appearance Nov. 16.
