Party say they will reduce the small business tax rate for the next three years if re-elected and Ryan Meili and the NDP have proposed a wealth tax if elected. 10:00 – While Saskatchewan will choose its provincial leaders Oct. 26, Americans will head to the polls Nov. 3 to decide their new president. While Canadian federal elections are decided by who gets the most seats by riding, the US elections are decided by their sometimes-confusing Electoral College. Dr. Daron Shaw, who studies government at the University of California and formerly worked as a campaign strategist, joins Gormley to explain the Electoral College and how it’s used to determine the outcome with an United States election.

11:00 – Is Halloween safe during COVID-19? A new poll from Leger and the Association for Canadian Studies found only 48% of Canadians are planning to let send children trick-or-treating this year, compared to 61% last year. In Saskatchewan 60% said they would let children trick-or-treat, down just 5% from 2019. More than half (52%) of Canadians surveyed and almost half (48%) in Saskatchewan said the government should step in and cancel Halloween, but is the risk really that great?
