The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is recommending that anyone who attended the Gospel revival in Beauval on Oct. 3 to immediately self-isolate and call local public health officials or HealthLine 811 for risk assessment.
The advisory is for those who attended and did not wear a mask, did not stick to their household or bubble, and shared any food or drinks.
In a release, the SHA says medical health officer Dr. Rim Zayed emphasized that attending the events while sick and/or attending without complying with public health recommendations for mass gatherings puts everyone in the community at greater risk of infection with COVID-19.
The SHA says those who attended and followed the public health precautions are asked to self-monitor for 14 days.
It also says if people develop symptoms of COVID-19, they should immediately self-isolate and call HealthLine 811, their doctor or their nurse practitioner to arrange for testing.
