Health officials are reporting Saskatchewan’s highest single-day total of COVID-19 cases since late-July.
The Ministry of Health said there were 34 new cases on Saturday, the most since 38 new cases were reported on July 30.
The central east region is responsible for 11 of the new cases, seven cases are located in the north central area, four in the far north east, three each in Saskatoon and Regina, two in the south east and one case each in the north east and north west zones.
The Gospel Revival outbreak has been linked to 13 of the cases, and nine other active cases have been linked to a workplace in the central east zone that includes employees and close contacts.
The total number of cases is 2,068; 161 are considered active. A total of 1,883 people have recovered.
Six people are in hospital across Saskatchewan. Four people are receiving inpatient care; three in Saskatoon and one in Regina. Two people are in intensive care; one in Regina and one in Saskatoon.
