The Yorkton RCMP detachment reopened to the public Tuesday.
On Sept. 28, the detachment was closed for two weeks after an officer tested positive for COVID-19. Those who were in close contact with that officer — 14 other officers and six civilian members — then were forced to self-isolate.
The reopening means criminal record checks and fingerprinting services once again can be done at the detachment. The front counter is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
A Plexiglas partition has been installed at the front desk and hand-sanitizing stations and masks are available in the lobby.
The RCMP’s Operational Communication Centres are open 24 hours a day seven days a week to take emergency calls. All other inquiries or complaints can be made by calling the detachment at 306-786-2400.
