Students in two classes at Ethel Milliken School will be learning remotely after two positive COVID-19 tests were recorded at the school.
The rest of the school’s students are to have classes as normal Thursday.
In a media release Wednesday evening, Regina Public Schools said it had been informed by the Saskatchewan Health Authority that two students at the school in the Albert Park area of the city had tested positive. The cases were in two classrooms.
The school division said all families with students in those classes had been contacted. The pupils in those classes are to learn remotely before returning to school Oct. 23.
The division said the Queen Street school had been cleaned and disinfected, allowing it to open for all other students Thursday.
According to Regina Public Schools, the health authority is to contact students and staff members who may have been in close contact with the students who tested positive.
Anyone who shows symptoms should stay home and contact HealthLine 811 to arrange a test.
Ethel Milliken School is the fourth Regina public school to report positive cases, following Marion McVeety School, Winston Knoll Collegiate and Ecole Harbour Landing Elementary School.
