11:00 – ParticipAction has released guidelines outlining how much time Canadians should spend exercising, sleeping, and sitting during a 24-hour period. But with the guidelines calling for 150 minutes per week of “moderate to vigorous” physical activity, 7-9 hours of good sleep each night, and no more than three hours per day of screen time daily, some are doubting whether their standards are realistic for modern Canadians. Give John a call at 1-877-332-8255 and let him know if you think these standards are too high for most people to meet.
12:00 – A team of students at the University of British Columbia is developing a fully autonomous agricultural robot, which would be able to exterminate weeds and fertilize crops without input from a human operator. Team Captain Param Arora joins Gormley to tell us more about the project and how robotics could change the future of farming.
