Saskatchewan reported 36 new COVID-19 cases Saturday. There are now 326 active cases throughout the province.
The Saskatoon region saw the most new cases with 10, followed by the far northeast and north-central areas with six each.
The Regina region reported four new cases, while the northwest and northeast regions had three cases each.
There was one new case in each of the central west, central east and southeast zones.
One case has not been located.
Eleven people are in hospital.
There are two people receiving intensive care, one in Saskatoon and another in Regina, while there are nine receiving inpatient care; five in the Saskatoon area, three in the north-central and one in the central east zones.
The province reported nine new recoveries on Saturday, totalling 1955 people who have recovered from COVID-19 throughout the province.
Yesterday, 2,432 COVID-19 tests were performed in Saskatchewan.
So far, 79 individuals in multiple communities have tested positive for COVID-19 after being linked to the Gospel Worship event in Prince Albert, including close contacts of attendees.
At least 250 contacts have been part of the contact investigation relative to this event.
As of Oct. 16, private indoor gatherings may have a maximum of 15 people in the home or in buildings located on the private property.
“Two-metre physical distancing should be observed when people from outside the extended household are present,” the Saskatchewan Health Authority said in a news release on Saturday. “Any event that occurs in a private dwelling, including weddings, religious gathering and funerals, must abide by the 15 person gathering limit.”
This will not impact restaurants, licensed establishments, banquet halls as well as weddings, funerals and religious gatherings which are all required to follow seating and physical distancing guidelines as described in the Re-Open Saskatchewan Plan.
