8:30 – Canada avoided an election when the Liberal government in Ottawa survived a confidence vote yesterday, with 146 MPs for and 180 against a motion to create an anti-corruption committee to look closely at the WE Charity scandal. Matt Gurney is a columnist and editor with the National Post, and he joins John to discuss the confidence vote.
