For the second straight day, Saskatchewan’s Internet Child Exploitation Unit has charged an Estevan man with child pornography offences.
In a media release Friday, the RCMP said a 20-year-old man had been arrested after complaints were received about his sharing of child pornography on social media.
On Thursday, officers from the ICE Unit and the Estevan Police Service executed a search warrant at a residence where they believed the offences had occurred. Child pornography was found on two cellphones, both of which were seized for further analysis.
The man was arrested and charged with possession of child pornography and transmitting child pornography.
He was released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in Estevan Provincial Court on Dec. 7.
