OK, when will it be the CFL fans’ turn to have some optimism?
On Wednesday, the National Lacrosse League sent out its tentative start date for April. Yes, that’s four months later than usual, but it’s something.
The NHL and NBA have already announced two back-to-play plans going back to this summer and starting the new season.
The Western Hockey League and Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League have announced start dates.
And I’m sorry if this sounds like I’m beating a dead horse, but all CFL fans want to hear is a plan, because all we’ve been hearing lately are reports of optimism with no sense of any coming from the commissioner’s office.
Sure, they have lots of time but so do a lot of these organizations who are showing us that they are laying the groundwork and working towards something.
It’s time the CFL gives its fans the same update — any update to know what the league is working towards in 2021.
After all, the fans are the biggest asset this league has. It would be nice to have the CFL make you feel that way rather than making you feel like you’re taken for granted.
