Ghouls, goblins, hot dogs and dinosaurs gathered together in Mosaic Stadium for one singular goal; to fill their bags with as much candy as possible.
The concourse was occupied with more than 20 vendors offering treats to the little tricksters that wandered, two meters apart, through the concourse.
Tim Reid, the CEO of Regina Exhibition Association Limited, was happy they were able to provide kids with a memorable trick-or-treating experience they won’t soon forget.
“You walk around the stadium and you see people sliding candies down a tube, or throwing them into bags to keep everybody physically different distanced,” Reid said. “It’s a very different experience for all of us. But I think it’s still a way to celebrate, it still keeps Halloween special.
“I think for many people that have perhaps never been in the stadium, this would be a memory they won’t forget.”
Ghouls, goblins, and (adorable) dinosaurs flooded the Mosaic Stadium concourse on #Halloween. It was all apart of @evrazplacelive trick or treat event!

For people that were interested in attending the event, the demand greatly outweighed the tickets that were available.
“We had thousands of people try to find a way to get in here,” Reid added. “Unfortunately, just because we wanted to be compliant with all of the safety guidelines, we were only able to take about a little over 1000.”
Sandra Claire, who was one of the many vendors for the event, brought more than enough treats to provide for everyone who attended.
“We’re expecting to get rid of all 1500 of our chocolate bars, chocolate milk and coupons,” Claire said. “It’s going to be busy, but it’s very organized. They’re only letting a certain number of people in at a time and doing a really good job of controlling traffic.”
Admission was free, but each child had to have a ticket. Registration for tickets took place on Oct. 14, with all tickets selling out within the hour.
The event ran from 12:00 to 6:00 p.m.
