The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is warning of a potential COVID-19 “superspreader” event at Saskatoon’s City Centre Bingo.
In a release, the SHA says public health officials are recommending anyone who attended the bingo hall at any time on Oct. 24 to call HealthLine 811 as soon as possible to arrange for COVID-19 testing.
Those in attendance who since that date have developed symptoms of COVID-19 are advised to immediately self-isolate and seek testing.
The SHA says in the release businesses operating in Saskatchewan must operate according to the COVID-19 response guidelines.
It also says it is important to note that individuals may develop symptoms from two to 14 days following exposure to the virus that causes COVID-19.
