8:30 – Did you know COVID-19 comes from bat soup, and you can cure it by gargling bleach? It doesn’t matter anyways, because it’s just another common cold and it only infects seniors. We hope you don’t know those things, because none of them are true. There are lots of myths floating around when it comes to COVID-19, and the result is lots of confusing and sometimes dangerous misinformation, especially online. Our designated COVID-19 mythbuster, Microbiologist Dr. Joseph Blondeau, joins Gormley to bust some of the most common COVID-19 myths and share what the science really says about some of the misinformation.

10:00 – Is Justin Trudeau involved in a conspiracy to push a global agenda under the guise of COVID-19 recovery? A video of the PM speaking at a UN meeting at the end of September is getting lots of attention online, particularly Trudeau’s comment that pandemic recovery “… is our chance to accelerate our pre-pandemic efforts to reimagine economic systems that actually address global challenges like extreme poverty, inequality and climate change.” But is this a global conspiracy, or just Trudeau trying to improve Canada’s position on the world stage? Colin Robertson, VP with the Canadian Global Affairs Institute, says Trudeau is just trying to be helpful in getting an international response to COVID.

11:00 – With many in Saskatchewan facing a winter where our usual activities are slowed down or paused due to COVID-19, many people are picking up a new hobby to keep them busy, and in some cases even make a few extra bucks. Have you learned a new skill during the COVID-19 pandemic? Have you started typing a novel, baking sourdough, painting, birdwatching, or building models? Give Gormley a call at 1-877-332-8255 and tell us what new hobby you’ve started during the pandemic. If you’re already an established hobbyist, call in and let us know why others should take up your favourite pastime!
12:00 – Last year Justin Trudeau did everything he could to try and secure Canada a non-voting seat on the UN Security Council, a bid we lost to Norway and Ireland. When the dust settled, Canada received 108 votes to Norway’s 130 and Ireland’s 128. Trudeau made it his personal mission to secure the seat, jetting around the globe to woo national leaders, spending millions in the process on the four-year campaign. Our friends at Blacklock’s Reporter uncovered documents showing Cabinet spent $2,446,026 on the failed bid, the equivalent of nearly $23,000 for every vote. Managing Editor Tom Korski joins John to tell us more.
