The Regina Police Service and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found Tuesday morning in the area of 23rd Avenue and Hillsdale Street.
According to a media release from police, a call was received at about 7:30 a.m., about a sick or injured person in the 1300 block of 23rd Avenue.
Arriving at the scene, officers and paramedics found a woman lying unresponsive in the snow. Paramedics confirmed the woman was dead and a coroner and Forensic Identification officers were called to the scene.
Police confirmed the identity of the woman and, with the RCMP’s help, are notifying her next of kin.
