A four-vehicle collision southwest of Saskatoon killed one man on Tuesday evening.
According to RCMP, the crash happened around 7:20 p.m. along Highway 7, between Delisle and Laura.
RCMP from Warman, the Delisle Fire Department, and Saskatoon EMS all attended the scene. According to a media release, one man was declared dead at the scene, while another man was taken to Saskatoon’s Royal University Hospital by STARS air ambulance and is said to be in serious condition. No other motorists were injured.
The stretch of road where the collision occurred begins about 45 kilometres southwest of Saskatoon. RCMP noted that the road was icy at the time; crews from the Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure were called out to sand sections of the highway before it could be reopened.
