12:00 – Bryan Matheson, who serves as mayor of Lumsden, had an interesting spring. The provincial government contacted Matheson and asked if he wouldn’t mind serving as mayor of Craik in addition to his other duties. The town of 400 had seen council resignations, meaning they didn’t have enough people to meet quorum for meetings. Matheson often helps out other mayors who are in difficult spots with advice, but this was the first time he’d held two mayor posts simultaneously. Matheson joins Gormley to discuss the unique experience.
