Regina police do not believe a woman’s death reported Tuesday morning is a crime.
Police were called to the 1300 block of 23rd Avenue on Tuesday morning after a “sick or injured” woman was found lying in front of a building.
EMS confirmed that she had died, and police began an investigation. In a media update, Regina police said Thursday they did not turn up any evidence to suggest a crime was committed.
The woman has been identified, but her identity will not be released by police.
The Saskatchewan Coroners Service is taking over the investigation to determine what led to the woman’s death, with the Regina police supporting its work.
