Regina police say a man suspected in numerous shoplifting incidents has been arrested after breaking into a local business.
In a media release, the Regina Police Service (RPS) says the man was arrested Tuesday evening after police were called to a building on the 1900 block of Saskatchewan Drive, near the downtown. According to the RPS, a man walked into the building, stole a wrench and then used it to break into a business in that building.
Once they had the suspect in custody, officers connected him to a string of recent shoplifting and theft incidents which saw nearly $2,000 worth of items stolen.
In all, Kenneth Shell, 41, is facing six charges, including attempted break and enter, theft under $5,000, and four counts of theft/shoplifting under $5,000.
