An investigation into the illegal manufacturing of guns resulted in searches at a number of properties in Regina and in rural Saskatchewan on Thursday.
In a media release late in the afternoon, the Regina Police Service said members of the Regina Integrated Crime Reduction Team — which comprises officers from the Regina Police Service and the RCMP — searched properties in Regina, Fillmore, Lebret, Saskatchewan Beach and the RM of Lajord.
In Regina, locations on Fines Drive, the 2100 block of Rae Street, the 1100 block of Elliott Street, the 1500 block of Bond Street, the 1100 block of Rose Street and the 1600 block of St. John Street were searched.
According to the release, “several people” were taken into custody during the searches.
