10:00 – Today is a sad day at Regina’s Evraz steel mill, as 591 workers are losing their jobs just before Christmas. Warren Steinley, MP for Regina-Lewvan, says these layoffs were preventable. Steinley lays the blame on the Liberal government, whose bills such as C-48, C-69, and the carbon tax have led to the cancellation of infrastructure and energy projects across Canada. Steinley joins John to discuss the layoffs and why he feels Trudeau’s policies are to blame.
LIVE: Warren Steinley, MP for Regina-Lewvan & Shadow Minister for Economic Development.
11:00 – Tom Cruise absolutely lost it on the set of the new “Mission: Impossible” film this week, screaming and swearing at two crew members who were breaking social distancing rules by standing too close together while watching a computer monitor. But during Tom’s profanity-laced rant, he expressed that he was trying to protect the jobs and income of everyone working on the film, and spoke about how hard he was working to keep the movie industry alive during the pandemic. We’ve got a simple question for you: Who’s the A-Hole? Is it Tom, the people who broke the rules, or both?
12:00 – Saskatchewan author Ryan Thaddeus recently published his latest book, ‘Short Stories from Saskatchewan and Beyond.’ Gormley gets a mention in the sci-fi tale “The Last Harvest,” set in a far-future version of our province. In that story, the “Gormley Movement” was a group seeking to extend the use of fossil fuels. Thaddeus joins Gormley to tell us about the new book.
