The City of Regina is continuing its greenest holiday tradition this year.
The annual Treecycle program is continuing this year. The city will accept real Christmas trees at its landfill Yard Waste Depot, located on Fleet St. north of McDonald St., from Boxing Day through the end of January.
The program keeps them out of the landfill and allows for them to be composted as part of the yard waste program. The city no longer collects trees, so they have to be dropped off by residents.
The city collected 32 tonnes of trees last year.
