8:30 – According to the first-ever annual carbon tax revenue report, Canadians are paying millions more in carbon tax than they are receiving in Climate Action Incentive rebates. In Saskatchewan, residents paid 9% more than they received in rebates, and that figure is even higher in provinces like Ontario, Manitoba, and New Brunswick. 10:30 – According to data compiled by the student-founded COVID-19 Canada Open Data Working Group, Canada’s provinces have only administered about a quarter of the vaccines delivered to them by the federal government. Prime Minister Trudeau expressed his frustration over the delays during a press conference Tuesday, and many are looking for answers. PhD Student Jean-Paul Soucy founded the open data working group, and he joins Gormley to tell us about the project and their recent findings.
