The Regina Police Service said Monday a 38-year-old woman from Bienfait was the victim of the city’s first murder of 2021.
Amber Dawn Wood died after she was shot Saturday morning at a home in the 700 block of Athol Street.
At about 8:10 a.m., police and EMS were dispatched to the house for a report of an injured woman. She was taken by paramedics to hospital, where she died a short time later.
The police continue to investigate the incident.
