A 35-year-old man faces charges including aggravated assault after a home invasion in the 600 block of Wascana Street on Sunday night.
Police say the victim was a 61-year-old man, who told them somebody broke into his home and was chasing him.
As the man was on the phone with police, police say he was stabbed twice by his attacker.
When police showed up, they found the suspect just outside the home and arrested him. They found a knife and a gun that had been sawed off.
The victim was sent to hospital for his wounds but his injuries were not life-threatening.
