The Regina Police Service is investigating the city’s second murder of 2021.
On Wednesday, police issued a media release reporting the victim of an assault that occurred Tuesday night had died in hospital.
The man’s family has been notified of his death. Police said they will be releasing the victim’s name in the near future.
According to police, the investigation began Tuesday at about 8:50 p.m., when officers responded to the 1700 block of Quebec Street for a report of an injured male.
At the scene, police and paramedics found a man who had sustained serious injuries. He was taken to hospital, where he later died.

It’s the second murder in the city in less than a week. On Saturday, a 38-year-old woman died after being shot on Athol Street.
