8:30 – After Canada’s Governor General Julie Payette resigned last week, there has been much talk and speculation about who should take over the role. Washington Post Columnist JJ McCullough has a suggestion: Nobody. He says the role is antiquated and serves no purpose. McCullough argues that no GG “has ever done anything consequential or interesting” in all of Canadian history, yet the largely-ceremonial position still costs taxpayers an arm and leg to maintain. McCullough joins Drew to tell us why he feels Payette’s departure should spell the end of the Governor General’s post.

Do you ever get offended by swearing? Give Drew a call at 1-877-332-8255 and tell us what you think – but please watch your language!
