A 34-year-old Regina man has been charged with attempted murder after a shooting in the city Wednesday night.
At around 8:45 p.m., police officers were sent to a Regina hospital for a report that a man had arrived at the facility with a gunshot wound. He was treated for what are being described as non-life-threatening injuries.
After investigating, officers went to a house in the 1400 block of Cameron Street, where the shooting was believed to have occurred. There, they found a gun and ammunition and arrested a suspect.
Police say the suspect “appears to have been the victim of an assault,” which they’re investigating.
Julian Dennis Runns was charged with attempted murder, possession of a prohibited/restricted weapon knowing its possession is unauthorized, and six counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order.
Runns was to make his first court appearance Thursday.
