The Regina Police Service is looking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect in a break-in and robbery that occurred early Monday.
Just before 3 a.m., police responded to a report of a robbery at a house in the 1400 block of Wascana Street. A 67-year-old woman said a man had broken into her house, assaulted her and stole a television.
The woman told officers she was asleep when she was awakened by noises at the back door. When she confronted the man who had entered her house, he punched her and pushed her down the basement stairs.
By the time she got back to the main level, the man had taken a large TV and was leaving in a vehicle that had been parked in the alley.
The man was described as Caucasian, between the ages of 20 and 30, about six feet tall with a thin build and short hair. He was wearing a black jacket and blue or black jeans.
Paramedics took the woman to hospital as a precaution.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Regina Police Service at 306-777-6500 or Regina Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
