Noted Regina philanthropist Jacqui Shumiatcher has died.
A Facebook post by the office of Lt.-Gov. Russ Mirasty paid tribute to Shumiatcher, who passed away Monday at age 97.

Shumiatcher contributed greatly to the arts in Regina with significant financial donations and personal involvement with the Conexus Arts Centre, MacKenzie Art Gallery, Globe Theatre, Regina Symphony Orchestra and many others.
She received the Saskatchewan Order of Merit in 2001 and the Order of Canada in 2017.
It is with great sadness that we share that our longtime supporter, Jacqui Shumiatcher has passed away.
